Art: Japanese Woodblock Printing Workshop
Japanese woodblock printing is a unique and fun ancient art form!
You’ll be able to take home your own prints and
carved block to enjoy after this exciting one-colour workshop.
All materials and tools are provided - bring only your apron!

- Trace & finalise image
- Block carving & registration
- Lunch break
- Demonstration of inking up & printing
- Proofing, block corrections
- Final proofing using washi paper
- Review & drying

After transferring the image, using carving tools to remove unwanted areas.
Using watercolour paints and nori rice paste glue to ink up the carved block.
Using a barren to print the block.
